Expansion & alterations to an existing Dormer Bungalow dwelling to provide improved additional bedrooms & living accommodation.

Planning - A dwelling located on a prominent site in extensive grounds in the North Cheshire Green belt that had been extensively expanded over the past 20 years. The use of permitted development rights and the sensitive design and integration resulted in a 96% increase in floor area form the original dwelling.

Appointment  -  appointed to develop proposals and achieved planning permission in August 2012. FOB have now been appointed to take the scheme forward to completion and are currently preparing the Tender information.

Construction -  Traditional masonry and steel/ oak framed construction with tiled timber roof . Incorporation of express oak details, sliding folding doors, render panels

Size - 170m2 new build, 300m2 refurbishment and re-modelling

Special points -  Rationalisation of poorly executed extensions and alterations to create a unified house with the appearance of a new build project for half the budget

Value -  £250,000 (estimated)

Status  - Completion proposed November 2012
